About the Role:

The Zonal Head will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Branch Managers/Relationship Managers within a designated zone to achieve revenue and profitability targets. This role requires a strong understanding of the stock broking industry, excellent leadership and team management skills, and a proven track record of success in driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Revenue & Profitability:
    • Drive revenue and profitability within the assigned zone by achieving and exceeding sales targets for various products and services offered by the brokerage firm (e.g., trading, investment, advisory, etc.).
    • Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities and develop effective sales strategies.
    • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as revenue per client, client acquisition cost, and customer lifetime value.
    • Implement cost-effective measures to optimize profitability.
  • Team Management:
    • Recruit, hire, train, and mentor a high-performing team of Branch Managers/Relationship Managers.
    • Set clear performance goals, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews.
    • Motivate and inspire the team to achieve their full potential.
    • Foster a positive and collaborative team environment.
    • Address team challenges and resolve conflicts effectively.
  • Business Development:
    • Develop and implement strategic plans to expand market share and penetrate new customer segments.
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through partnerships, alliances, and other strategic initiatives.
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, channel partners, and industry associations.
    • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
  • Client Management:
    • Oversee client relationship management activities within the zone.
    • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention.
    • Address client concerns and resolve issues promptly and effectively.
    • Conduct regular client outreach programs to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Compliance & Risk Management:
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and industry standards.
    • Monitor and mitigate risks associated with sales and business operations.
    • Implement and maintain robust internal controls.

Requirements

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 8-10 years of experience in the stock broking industry with at least 5 years in a managerial role.
  • Proven track record of success in achieving sales and revenue targets.
  • Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM and other relevant software.
  • NISM certifications (preferred)
